April is Stress Awareness Month

Posted 6th April 2021

APRIL 2021 Stress is defined as an adverse reaction to pressure.

This month is 'Stress Awareness' month and there are various areas that we can manage as employers to minimise the amount of pressure our teams are under - for example:

demands – workload, work patterns and the work environment

control – how much say the person has in the way they do their work

support – encouragement, sponsorship and resources available to workers

relationships – promoting positive working to avoid conflict and dealing with unacceptable behaviour

role – whether people understand their role within the organisation and whether the organisation

ensures that they do not have conflicting roles

change – how change (large or small) is managed and communicated

bespoke has in place and implements a Stress Risk Assessment as required by the HSE, and we are proud of the steps we take to manage these key factors in our business.
