Electrical safety testing is essential to ensure safe operating standards for any product that uses electricity. Our expert electrical engineers are on hand to facilitate any of your electrical testing requirements whether it be fixed electrical testing or portable appliance testing. We adopt a completely flexible approach and can visit your premises at times that best suit your business needs. Whether it is a simple case of undertaking compliance reports or actively engaging in a scheduled appliance testing regime, making sure you are electrically compliant is an absolute must.

We cover all facets of electrical compliance including Fixed Electrical Testing and Portable Appliance Testing.

Portable Appliance Testing

The purpose of Portable Appliance Testing (PAT testing) is to ensure electrical equipment is maintained and inspected regularly so as to prevent electrical failure and the danger which may result from this. Although there are no requirements for PAT testing frequency, there are recommendations. Office, Shop & Hotel Class 1 equipment including stationary and IT equipment should be tested every 48 months with moveable equipment such as extension leads and portable equipment should be tested every 24 months.

Fixed Electrical Testing

The purpose of fixed wiring testing is to ensure your electrical installation is safe and fit for purpose as it involves the testing of electrical services and systems that conduct electricity around a building. Fixed testing covers all hard wiring in a building and includes socket outlets, lighting, main panels, distribution boards, air conditioning and other fixed plant.
